Google Still The Best Company To Work For
Google has been named the best company to work for, for the second year running according to a pool run by Universum, the employer branding company. However, auditing firms put up a serious fight and in terms of numbers, it could be considered a success for the likes of KPMG with four of the top five spots being filled by such organisations.
If you’re looking for a new job or you just like to look at the most popular brands in virtually every conceivable category then the index makes for some interesting reading. The results were formulated after considering the responses of 130,000 job seekers so it’s a fairly extensive survey too.
Google came out on top, once again, while KPMG took second spot. Ernst & Young came third with fourth spot filled by PricewaterhouseCoopers and fifth being awarded to Deloitte.
BMW is still the most popular auto company while other notable entries include Microsoft in 7th, Coca Cola in 8th, and J P Morgan in 9th place.
Apparently it is becoming more and more difficult for big companies to attract and indeed keep major talent and so employer branding is becoming increasingly popular. Honestly, though, we think the merest mention of bean bags and stress balls as part of everyday life is what attracts potential employees to Google.
